Editorial Policy

This document is the set of rules SlotSims is built on. It keeps our own bar high — and shows you what you can trust here and why.

Who we are and why we write

SlotSims is made by someone with fourteen years of playing experience — his unvarnished story is on the authors page. We write about slots, casinos and the people in this industry the way we wish someone had written for us: calmly, with numbers, and without promises of easy money.

The main rule

No material on this site should push a person to play more than they intended. If a text can be read as "go place a bet" — it gets rewritten.

How we verify information

Every fact goes through the same pipeline:

  1. Primary source. RTP, volatility and mechanics — only from the provider's official documentation. Never from other reviews, never "from memory".
  2. Our own test. Everything that can be checked by hand is checked by hand: slots are run in demo through long sessions, and screenshots are always ours. Details in the methodology.
  3. Cross-checking. Operator data — limits, withdrawal times, verification — is confirmed by at least two sources: our own experience plus verified player reports with dates and details.
  4. Player stories. We only publish what we can at least partially verify: screenshots, statements, support transcripts. Names change at the request of the people involved — facts never do.

If something cannot be verified, we either don't publish it or say plainly: "this is unconfirmed".

What we never publish

  • "Winning strategies", "systems", "slot exploits" — they don't exist, and those who sell them profit from despair.
  • Any promise of making money through gambling.
  • Content addressed to minors.
  • Paid "reviews" where the truth is off-limits.

Advertising and money

How the site earns is laid out in the affiliate disclosure. In short: paid placements are labelled "Advertising" in the text, ratings are not for sale, and negative facts are not removed for any money. If an operator stops paying players, the review gets updated — whatever the contract says.

Style

  • We write like humans: no corporate filler, no screaming headlines.
  • Every number comes with a source or a note that it's from our own test.
  • Terms are explained on first use: the reader doesn't have to know what variance is.
  • A headline promises exactly what the text delivers.

Errors and corrections

We make mistakes. The procedure:

  1. Found an error — write via the contact page with the article and the exact passage.
  2. Factual errors are fixed within 48 hours of confirmation.
  3. Substantial edits are not hidden: the article's update date changes and goes to search engines as dateModified.
  4. If an error changed the point of the piece, we say so right in the text.

Use of AI

Drafts and translations may be prepared with AI tools. But every fact is verified by a human, tests are always run manually, and personal experience is never generated. A real author with their name on the article is responsible for every piece.
