Duel: Personal Experience and What to Know in Advance

Duel is one of three platforms where I play regularly. Below is what you need to know before registering, and my own unvarnished experience.

What you need to understand beforehand

Geography. Access is closed to the USA, UK, and a number of EU countries. The list changes, so you need to check at the time of registration, not based on a six-month-old review.

Dispute Jurisdiction. The license is Anjouan, and this is the project's weakest point. If a conflict arises, there is practically no external arbiter capable of forcing the platform to pay. Everything relies on the owners' reputation.

Age. Launched in July 2025. The conditions are excellent, but there isn't yet a history of years of payouts.

Verification. Not required by default, but the agreement explicitly reserves the platform's right to request it before withdrawal. It's best to have your documents ready.

Crypto. All calculations are in cryptocurrency: fast, but adds exchange rate risk and requires an understanding of how networks and fees work.

My experience

The first thing that strikes you when switching from Stake is the rakeback. Not a "nice bonus," but a completely different order of magnitude. After a one percent commission and three and a half percent return, fifty percent looks like a typo. There's no typo, I checked my accruals.

Withdrawals work as promised. The request goes through, the transaction appears on the network within a minute, no manual checks and no "your request is being processed." Not a single hang-up the entire time. They have never asked me for documents.

Originals are what people go there for, and the math is honest. Mines is calculated using a pure combination formula, without a commission multiplier, and the multipliers match the calculation down to the last digit. I recalculated it manually before writing about it.

Blackjack with an effective 0.1% after rakeback is the best offer I've seen anywhere. With one caveat that needs to be repeated: this only works when playing with basic strategy. Without a chart, you lose more on mistakes than you get back in rakeback, and the whole point is lost.

What I won't pretend not to notice

Streams. I wrote separately about what happened there in the spring of 2026, and I'll briefly repeat it here: racist jokes on air, insults to players, a Nazi salute. The platform did not shut down the format.

I feel uncomfortable writing this paragraph on a page about personal experience, because it would be more convenient not to write it. But a review that omits such things for the sake of good conditions is worthless.

Their math is honest. Payouts are fast. And that doesn't negate what happens on their streams. Two facts, both true, and you'll have to reconcile them yourself.

I don't keep large sums there

This is my practical rule, and it's not about distrust of a specific platform.

An Anjouan license means that money on the balance is an unsecured loan to the company. As long as the project grows and it's profitable for the owners to pay, everything works. The moment it stops, there will be nowhere to turn. That's why I withdraw regularly and keep only as much in the account as needed for playing.

I don't do that with Stake — they have eight years behind them, a Curaçao license, and a separate Brazilian one. The difference in behavior is explained by the difference in guarantees, not in sympathies.

The main takeaway

My total turnover across all platforms has exceeded one hundred million dollars, and in the end, I'm at a big loss. Not a small one, not "I'll win it back on the weekend" — a big one.

Duel in this picture is the best available option in terms of game price. Zero percent instead of one, fifty percent return instead of three and a half — on my turnover, this would be a difference of more than a million dollars. And I would still be in the red, just less so.

This is the conclusion I would have liked to hear myself a few years ago. Good conditions reduce the cost of entertainment. It does not become profitable at any percentage — because even a zero mathematical expectation is zero, not a plus.
